Dear SHPE Volunteer,

On behalf of the 2019 R4LDC Committee and Regional team, we thank you for your commitment to our organization through your efforts.
Please fill out the following form so we can assign you to your Volunteer Roles. Descriptions of the Volunteer Activities and Volunteer appreciation can be found below.

Volunteer Activities:

1.) Registration
Volunteers in these assignments will support SHPE National and the RLDC Committee with the Setup, Tear down, or Execution of the the Registration booth when team members arrive for the RLDC. Team members may be expected to be on their feet for extended periods of time to help pass out badges and other materials distributed at check-in.
– Days available for Volunteering: Thursday February 28th, and Friday March 1st

2.) Workshop Facilitator
Volunteers in these assignments will support SHPE National and the RLDC Committee by helping ensure that Workshops are kept on schedule, and that all equipment (Projection, Speakers, etc.) are working appropriately (and escalate when they are not). Volunteers in this role may also need to introduce the speaker for each session, giving a short background statement from what entity they represent.
– Days available for Volunteering: Friday March 1st, and Saturday March 2nd

3.) Corporate Tour Coordinator
Volunteers will help make sure all those who signed up are accounted for both going to/from the tour site and coordinate (i.e. text) with the RLDC 4 committee on status of tour, to predict the ETA of the return of the tour and keep on schedule. Will also be responsible for taking pictures during the tour, for sharing across RLDC social media channels.
– Days available for Volunteering: Friday March 1st

4.) Pre-College Volunteer
Volunteers in these assignments will support SHPE National and the RLDC Committee by helping facilitate the activities involved in the Pre-College Symposium. Support needed will include interacting with both students and parents over the course of the session, discussing topics in STEM/hands on STEM activities/and information about higher education opportunities
– Days available for Volunteering: Saturday March 2nd

5.) Gala Coordinator
Volunteers in these assignments will support SHPE National and the RLDC Committee by helping facilitate the run-of-show involved for the Closing Gala Celebration. Support needed will include welcoming and seating guests (including sponsors to their reserved seating). In addition, backstage preparation of awards and speaker line up will be necessary.
– Days available for Volunteering: Saturday March 2nd
*Gala volunteers will be able to sit and enjoy a meal throughout the Gala programming

Volunteer Appreciation: (for those who volunteer at least 3 hours)
– Premier access to the Career Fair on Sunday, March 2nd
– SHPE memorabilia from the 2019 RLDC
– Courtesy lunch
